“There is no greater agony than bearing the untold story inside you.”
- Maya Angelou, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
Meet Rebecca
I approach therapy through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapeutic modality based on the belief that all parts of your personality are fundamentally well-intentioned in their efforts to be helpful, despite inadvertently causing problems for other parts of you. We need balance in life, and when our internal parts become extreme, it disrupts the balance, potentially leading to stress, anxiety, despair, relational conflicts, depression, or emotional numbness. By collaborating in this therapeutic process, I can help you get to know the parts of your personality in a way that facilitates trust and understanding within your internal system, and releases the painful burdens at the root of your symptoms.
I am a certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. I have completed IFS training Level 1 (2016-2017), Level 2 (Trauma & Neuroscience, December 2018), and Level 3 (2022), as well as volunteering twice as a Program Assistant for Level 1 trainings in 2023 and 2024.
